The Solis is a gorgeous and spacious residential home set amidst the tranquil nature of Hamilton Island, Queensland.
Renato D’Ettorre Architects was cognizant of the impact such a large building could have on the natural surroundings and took steps to ensure the construct incorporated airy living spaces and sprawling, sheltered outdoor zones that accentuated and focused the sense of calm that island living radiates.
They achieved this by intertwining the water features with the building’s elements, using the hillsides natural rock as a retaining wall, and creating a singular residence where terraces and interior rooms blend into one another – where open space is the norm and not the luxury. The sense of calm is further enhanced by the stunning azure ocean the home looks out on!
