For a project at Monash University, Dennis Yu was asked to choose a brand that had no connection to the automotive industry and conceive of a feasible product they might choose to enter the market with.
His answer was the Quicksilver 2027_Mercury, an amphibious motorbike inspired by the brands core surfer demographic. The sleek bike remains buoyant in water because of an “aero gel” within its body and is propelled forward by a covered propeller at the rear. The Mercury utilizes an eco-friendly Dearman Air Liquid Engine where air is stored as liquid, used as gas, and subsequently expelled as cold air.
