How do you get get rid of electrical fire smell? The smell of electrical burning is instantly identifiable and a reason to react quickly. The odor itself is unpleasant, but, it indicates a wiring problem; when wires overheat there is a serious potential for a fire.

Remove The Issue

Open Windows

Create An Absorber
You can actually create your own compound that will absorb the odor. The easiest way to do this is by fillinga bowlor several bowls with baking soda or white vinegar. Then just leavethe bowls there for between 6-10 hours.
Baking soda works well on small areas, while the vinegar works better on large areas. The closer you can get it to the source of the odor, the more effective it will be.
You may need to repeat the processif one time is not enough to clear the odor.
Wash Fabrics
Any fabrics which have picked up the smell will need to be washed; if possible. You’ll need to follow the manufacturer’s instruction and wash them as normal; there are no special measures to follow, the odor should be gone after just one wash.
The odor will disperse slowly by itself, if none of the above methods have been helpful, you’ll need to replace the smell, to make it bearablewhile it disperses naturally. Brewing coffee, or even leaving a bowl of coffee granules by the odor can replace the odor, after all, coffee is a much more attractive smell than the odor of electrical burning.
