House Philipp

House Philipp by Philipp Architekten looks over a spectacular landscape through glazed, frameless windows.

Perched atop a small mountain ridge in Southern Germany, the architecture of the house was designed to harmonize with nature. The interior and exterior blend into one another and the large, panoramic windows emphasize the idea of being part of the natural surroundings, rather than apart from it.

An interesting design feature and key element is the cube placed at the centre of the house. The Elm Wood paneled structure is both the kitchen and staircase, and more importantly, the backbone of the structure – its natural centre-piece.
