What Differentiates Dyson and Gtech Range of Vacuum Cleaners

A vacuum cleaner is a necessity no matter where you live. It’s a multipurpose gadget that can clean your floors, carpets, upholstery, car, and even kitchen appliances. It can suck all the dirt, dust, and debris from your floor, making your house clean and dirt-free.  Cleaner houses have better air quality.

Nowadays, the market is full of new designs and styles in vacuum cleaners. Your options may sway from corded to cordless, bagless to with a bag, upright to handheld or robotic, etc. But, the vacuum cleaner you need will depend on your house’s size, your cleaning requirement, the frequency of cleaning, flooring, etc.

A cordless vacuum is a popular option as you don’t need to look for a point everywhere you go cleaning. It is simple to maneuver and flexible to use anywhere. You can move around your home swiftly without having to worry about tangled wires. Some handheld versions of cordless vacuums are lightweight too.

Brands like Gtech and Dyson offer cordless vacuum cleaners. If you compare Gtech vs. Dyson, you will find many unique features in both. So, let’s look at the two cordless vacuum cleaners they offer, Dyson V11 Absolute cordless and Gtech’s Air Ram MK2.

Basic Design

Gtech AirRam MK2 is a cordless, Li-ion powered upright vacuum. With a weight of just 3.2 kgs, it’s easy to push and pull around your house. From cleaning your pet hairs to spilled beans on the floor, it can clean almost anything. With its collapsible design, you can easily store it in your cupboard or any corner of the house. This storage convenience is not possible with the stick design of the Dyson V11 Absolute. Instead, you can dropDyson V11 into a wall-mounted dock for charging or storing.

Versatility

Dyson V11 Absolute is a stick vacuum weighing just 2.97kg, closer to Gtech’s weight. Its innovative design makes it handy for sweeping the floors, cleaning the sofa or dog bed and dusting shelves, clearing cobwebs as a held hand vacuum. The Gtech AirRam MK2 can’t do the over the floor cleaning. But it can switch seamlessly between hard floors and carpet floors.

Features

The GtechAirRam MK2 comes with a single suction level-full blast. The suction is not as powerful as the DysonV11. Still, it allows for an excellent collection of anything that’s lying on the floor with its AirLOC technology brush head. The LED headlight is a plus. It makes vacuuming simple in low light areas such as under the sofa, bed, or table.

In contrast, the Dyson V11 Absolute features the most powerful dynamic digital motor and integrated power management. The three power levels give the right balance of power and runtime.

Runtime

Dyson’s runtime is a bit more, which is 60 minutes with the charging of 4.5 hours. On the other hand, the Gtech AirRam MK2 gives a runtime of 40 minutes with 4 hours charging time.

Bin Emptying

The Gtech AirRam’s bin is easy to empty. The compressed dust, dirt, and debris fall straight into the container by sliding the ejector’s arm. The Dyson V11 Absolute has a similar mechanism called ‘point and shoot, which ejects dirt, dust, and debris into the bin.

Attachments

The Gtech AirRam MK2 doesn’t come with any attachments because it’s not supposed to do many tasks. The Dyson V11 Absolute comes with several attachments like a nickel torque drive for hard floor and carpets, a soft roller cleaner head for rugs, a quick-release crevice tool for crevassing, a quick-release combination tool for sucking up dirt, a quick-release mini motorized tool for sofas, quick-release mini soft dusting brush, charger and docking station.

So, Gtech vs. Dyson – what is the final word? So, while the Dyson V11 Absolute is a versatile cleaner for all flooring types, the Gtech AirRam MK2 is undoubtedly a good deal in its price range. It’s not supposed to do as many cleaning tasks as your Dyson will do, but then, you can always get a handheld vacuum to supplement the job.
