Typography-Themed Desks

Open offices haven been hailed as collaborative work spaces and fostering creativity. Further research has shown though, that it’s bad for productivity and it might even make us sick. True or not – cubicles are definitely not visually inspiring… French creative Benoit Challand set out to change this – and shaped every desk in Fold Yard as a different letter of the alphabet. The letters’ shapes are abstracted unless viewed from above, when they can spell out words or phrases.

Letters are cool and all, but the best thing in my eyes, that you could choose a type of desk you like to work on – sit in the curve of a D, at the top of the straight A, … It might be just a small step to a more individual open office, but hey – I would take it!
