All you will need for this project are some empty spray bottles (you can find these at any craft store), distilled water, and your favorite essential oil(s). You’ll simply add about 20 drops of essential oil to each bottle full of water for a nice subtle smell throughout your home! You may also utilize a plug in electric wax burner to melt the wax that has already been infused with essential oils. Eucalyptus is perfect for refreshing your mind after work or school.
Mix eucalyptus with peppermint and lavender to create the ultimate stress reliever throughout your house! Simply add these oils into some distilled water in an empty spray bottle. Shake before each use then just spritz around the room when needed! Essential oil sets the mood of your home. It also has a lot of health benefits. There are many scents that can suit different seasons. Diffuser blends for summer, winter, or even spring diffuser blends. It’s all about mixing and following the mixing chart.
Fresh Flowers in a Vintage Vase
This is such a simple way to add some color and decor to any room. Pick up a fun vintage vase from your local thrift store or flea market, then go pick out the flowers that you want! You can find really beautiful fresh flowers at your local grocery store too if you don’t have time for a trip outside of town. This will make sure that you always have nice fresh-smelling blooms around your home without having to worry about them dying fast since they are so easy to replace.
Make Your Own Modern Wall Art
Finding the perfect wall art for your home decor can be very difficult. You either have to spend a lot of money or make it yourself if you want it to fit perfectly with your home’s theme. But, why not do both? Making modern wall art is easy and inexpensive! All you need is some plywood (you can find this at any hardware store), paint, and nails.
So, first, take out all of the nails from each piece of wood so that they are no longer attached as one board. Then attach them back together by tightening down each nail until it forms an “X” shape on top of the plywood board. Once finished painting however many boards you may need/want for your space then hang them up on your wall with some nails or picture hangers.

DIY Wall Mounted Shelf
Do you have a lot of space on your walls, but nowhere to hang pictures or shelves? Well, these DIY wall-mounted shelves are perfect if that’s the case! The best part is they don’t require any tools and can be done in less than an hour. This would make such a beautiful addition to almost any room and will add tons of storage for small items like books or knick-knacks too. Plus, it doesn’t take up much floor space so if you live in a smaller apartment this could help maximize your living space. All you need is some wood (you can find cheap pine boards at most hardware stores), clamps, nails, screws, drill bits, sandpaper (medium grit works best), stain or paint, and a door pull for each shelf.
So first, cut your wood into the sizes you want. Then attach them to form one big piece of rectangular-shaped boards by drilling screws through both pieces at an angle that is pointing towards the inside of the shelves. Now sand down all sides until smooth then apply some primer before staining or painting with whatever colors match your home decor best! Once finished screw in any hooks where you would like to hang it on the wall. This way you can easily change up what’s displayed if needed without having to drill holes every time too.
Ditch the Coffee Table
Coffee tables are so overrated! They can take up so much space, be very costly if you purchase one that is not your style or color, and aren’t exactly easy to move around when needed. So why continue to fill up all of this extra useless space in your home? A blanket on the floor makes a great makeshift coffee table for any occasion while still creating a cozy place to sit by a fire or play some games with friends. Plus it’s way more comfortable than an old-school wooden table too! This will make sure there is always plenty of room for everyone while also making sure no one trips over anything during those late-night parties. There are even different ways you could add to this idea and make it even more functional. For example, you could use a couple of crates and some plywood to easily create a side table that is sturdy enough for drinks or extra snacks.
So first, flip the crate upside down then place another on top with equal spacing between them around the edges. Next, attach all other boards by screwing in screws every few inches until finished. Now you have two separate pieces which can be used as either end tables or coffee tables depending on your preference! If using it as an end table just stack one piece on top of the other before attaching these new pieces onto whatever surface you would like to display them at. Once finished applying stain/paint if necessary simply add any door knobs that match your home.
The key is finding creative uses for items already at hand or repurposing things like old suitcases into nightstands – it’s all about looking around and seeing how much potential there is in everything that surrounds us, not just decorations but also furniture. Try thinking outside of the box!
