Kaori Clothes Rail

Fresh from the London Design Festival, here’s the Kaori clothes rail. Part of Raskl‘s Minimalist Monochrome collection, which also includes a set of kitchen servers and a set of salt & pepper mills. What ties these only semi-related items together, is their modern/minimal/Japanese/Melbourne aesthetic of soft natural wood blended with white hardware.

The Kaori clothes rail is a handsome hanging solution with a fusion of Japanese minimalism. Predominantly for use in the hallway or bedroom, is an open hanging solution with an upper rail for coat hangers and lower rack for shoes and bags.

The design of the stands also allows the piece to double as a hat stand or handy point to hang a bag from. The clothes rail is very simple and smart in its design and is suitable as either a space for organised boxed and neatly folded items in a guest room or to be casually dressed with slung sweaters and outerwear after an excursion.

While the Kaori has its own striking visual appeal it is minimal enough to even function as a display stand for your most prized pair of shoes or favourite coat. The design of the stand uses the natural flexibility and spring in ash timber to allow the legs to snap over the bottom frame, and the natural tension in the wood keeps the whole piece rigid.

The ash legs are bound at each end in a powder coated aluminium tube with machine cut sockets to receive the rails. This makes for easy assembly of the rail and allows for it to be shipped in a convenient postal tube and assembled at home requiring only the included allen key.
