Tree Snake House

Tree Snake House

Lisbon-based architectural team LuÌs Rebelo de Andrade and Tiago Rebelo de Andrade designed these stunning and eco-friendly modular homes in the town of Pedras Salgadas, Portugal.

The wooden structure of the Tree Snake House stands upon stilts and is perfectly incorporated into the environment. A bridge that emerges from the forest connects the home to the sloping hillside and the woodcraft is assured and elegantly simple, blending perfectly with the tree trunks surrounding the unobtrusive home.

The interior is starkly simple, making use of its open space brilliantly, featuring a studio, bathroom, and a kitchen.
