The Eames Molded Wood chair by Herman Miller is a modern update of the classic and familiar Eames design. This new iteration maintains the classic look and feel of the chair, preserving its refined and sculptured curve, whilst updating its production thanks to the advent of 3D veneer technology.

The advanced technology was a gift to the designers and allowed the wood to be molded into complex curves that would neither split nor pop when sculpted into its simple, unique form. The enduring design is suitable for any setting, be it an office, a conference room, or somewhere social like a cafe or restaurant.

Achieved with the help of today’s 3-D veneer technology, this authentic form is the result of a process that gives wood veneer the flexibility it needs to be molded into the complex curves of a single shell.

Whether alone in living rooms or home offices, or gathered together in dining rooms, conference rooms, libraries, or cafes, the enduring design offers the right amount of comfort, utility, and style to suit every setting.

Select from three veneers for the wood shell, including white ash, walnut, and santos palisander. Pair it with a choice of three classic bases: wire (often called the “Eiffel Tower”) in chrome or black, 4-leg in chrome or black, or wood dowel in one of three finishes.

Lightweight and carefully contoured, the shell seats have high, flexible backs, deep seat pockets, and waterfall front edges so you can sit comfortably.
